Sleep Dysregulation
Related to Trauma
About Sleep Dysregulation:
Sleep is essential for humans, but sleep itself is not enough; it’s about getting quality sleep for good health and well-being. Those impacted by mental health diagnoses, such as trauma, are more likely to experience insomnia, hypersomnolence, and other sleep disorders that may cause mental distress. Fortunately, both non-pharmacological and pharmacological interventions can offer significant relief. Trauma-based therapy, psychotherapy, and the short-term use of over-the-counter or prescription sleep aids can all play a role in restoring healthy sleep patterns and improving overall well-being.

-

More about This Service
How it Works
Psychotherapy and psychopharmacology are provided by trained personnel. Red Sands has trained team members who can provide trauma-based therapy and several providers who may prescribe medications for symptoms of dysregulated sleep related to trauma.
What to Expect
Clients receiving treatment for dysregulated sleep related to trauma will experience a safe environment where therapies such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) will occur.
