Medication Management
About Medication Management:
Medication has been used to help improve mental health for over 100 years, but how do you know if the medication that you are using is the right one or the right combination? Medications have many different functions and mechanisms of action; it can be daunting to think about - much less manage effectively.
That's where the professionals like the ones here at Red Sands come in. Our providers help manage these powerful medications for you and ease your mind about whether you are on the correct medication regimen.
Recommended For:
This service is for all persons who currently use medication to help manage their mental health - or those who feel that things are not where they should be and want to know more about whether medication can help. Our providers are educated and trained not only in medication but also in the use of nutraceuticals, supplements, lifestyle modifications, and other modalities of treatment should you be hesitant to use psychiatric medications or wish to try something else before using pharmaceuticals.

More about Medication Management
How it Works
Your evaluation will occur in the privacy of your provider’s office where they will discuss your current and past medications as part of your initial and follow-up evaluations.
What to Expect
When you do your initial evaluation with your provider, you can expect your first appointment to last about one hour, with your follow-up appointments to last about thirty minutes.
Your provider will explore your use of medications, including what has helped and what hasn’t. They will ask about genetic relatives and their use of medications as well. Your provider will explore options with you to create a well-rounded plan for your treatment that you are comfortable with.
At Red Sands we believe the best plan for medications is the one that we develop not for the patient, but rather with the patient, giving them the opportunity to voice concerns, fears, hopes and feedback regarding the medication that they will be taking.
