Biography
Broden Lund is a Marriage and Family Therapist - Intern at Red Sands Psychiatry Restorative Therapy & Counseling. He is also a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and holds an Expert Coach Certification from Expert Coach Center.
As an MFT intern, Broden is dedicated to expanding his clinical expertise by supporting a diverse range of clients across the lifespan. He is a committed ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and is particularly passionate about providing high-quality, accessible care through an intersectional lens. Broden strives to create an inclusive environment where racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse clients can receive the holistic care they deserve.
Broden is also a bilingual provider, serving both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking clients. He is proud to offer a space where clients can receive care and express themselves in their preferred language.
As a teen, Broden showed interest in a career in medicine, but his journey into the mental health field was sparked by his experience as a missionary, where he discovered profound fulfillment in helping people find solace in their lives. Following his time as a missionary, Broden attended Utah Tech University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, also holding double minors in Spanish and Social Justice. He is currently (in Spring 2026) pursuing a Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Something that fascinates Broden about mental health is the idea that every person has unique strengths and talents that can help them overcome their individual life experiences, both good and bad. This is something he believes everyone can tap into. In his own words, “In order to set therapeutic goals and work towards improvement, I believe it is essential to address the level we believe in ourselves and our ability to make change.”
As a provider, Broden compares his style of care to a car ride. His natural position is in the passenger’s seat as a navigator, supporter, and observer. He encourages clients to take the driver’s seat and have full control over how fast they go, what turns are made, and the overall destination. Yet, he recognizes that sometimes driving can be overwhelming, and clients might not know exactly where to go. During these times, he is happy to take the wheel when it is therapeutically relevant, while also supporting and encouraging each client through the twists and turns that lie ahead.
Broden is thoughtful, genuine, and motivated. He helps clients feel empowered to navigate change by focusing on the things they can control. Having fun and being silly is very important to Broden. In his care and personal life, he deeply values the therapeutic power of humor and believes that laughter can be a remedy for many of life’s challenges.
Outside of the office, Broden loves all things play, from pickleball to Uno, or nailing green shell shots in Mario Kart. He likes to wind down with a good movie or TV show and watches everything from reality game shows and dorky sitcoms to romcoms and suspenseful thrillers. Broden is an avid fantasy reader and also enjoys a good mystery, horror, sci-fi, or historical fiction book, too!
Broden aspires to be a part of the movement that makes integrative care more accessible and affordable for people. Furthermore, he wants to help other professionals who provide any type of human-based service to incorporate a trauma-informed approach into their interactions, so that everyone can feel seen, heard, and understood.
A favorite quote of his is this:
"Each human being is bred with a unique set of potentials that yearns to be fulfilled as surely as the acorn yearns to become the oak within it."
