Therapy and Counseling
About Gender Dysphoria:
Gender dysphoria is the psychological distress that occurs when a person's gender identity—their internal sense of being male, female, both, neither, or somewhere along the gender spectrum—does not align with the sex they were assigned at birth. This disconnect can lead to a range of emotional, mental, and physical challenges - such as anxiety, depression, or suicidal ideations (SI).
Gender dysphoria is not the same as being transgender; not all transgender people experience dysphoria. However, for individuals who do, support from mental health professionals can play a crucial role in improving well-being and guiding a path toward affirmation and self-understanding.
